Carnivale has received 8 nominations for the 57th annual Primetime Emmy Awards. The nominations are:

  • Art Direction for a Single-Camera Series: "Old Cherry Blossom Road" episode
  • Cinematography for a Single-Camera Series: "The Road to Damascus" and "Lincoln Highway" episodes
  • Costumes for a Series: "The Road to Damascus" episode
  • Hairstyling for a Series: "Outside New Canaan" episode
  • Makeup for a Series (Non-Prosthetic): "Alamogordo, N.M." episode
  • Prosthetic Makeup for a Series, Miniseries, Movie or a Special: "Damascus, NE" episode
  • Music Composition for a Series (Dramatic Underscore): "Lincoln Highway" episode
The 57th Emmy Awards will air Sept. 18 on CBS.

CarnyCon LIVE is coming in 2006. This will be the first-ever Carnivale convention. The three-day event will be held in Los Angeles, April 21-23, 2006. See the CarnyCon page for more information.

May 22, 2005

HBO has announced the cancellation of Carnivàle after two seasons. HBO Entertainment President Carolyn Strauss stated, "We have decided not to renew Carnivale. We feel the two seasons we had on the air told the story very well and we're proud of what everyone associated with the show has accomplished."

There are fan-based efforts underway to try to bring the series back in some form. For more information, see SaveCarnivale.org.
