delilah_tina: for JON GRIES: How tall are you, Jon? Sometimes it just seems Andrea Parker towers over you, and other times, you seem taller. - (from liberty_belle)

brootsie_and_rainesy: JON: 6'7", the shortest of the cast.

delilah_tina: for RICHARD MARCUS: They do an awesome makeup job on you! How long does it take makeup to "turn" you into Mr. Raines? - (from trekkao)

brootsie_and_rainesy: RICHARD: It's my natural look. Seriously, about an hour. The tank takes the longest to prep.

delilah_tina: for PATRICK BAUCHAU: Are you working on any projects this hiatus? - (from liberty_belle)

dr_sydney: Current projects....we're off to Montana with Jonny Gries to shoot NORTHFORK directed by the Polish Brothers who made TWIN FALLS IDAHO. Polish is their last name

delilah_tina: for JON GRIES: Have you ever directed before? Written any scripts? - (from MyDandy1 [Marcia])

brootsie_and_rainesy: JON: Yes, I've directed music videos and theatre and traffic.

missparker84: Will there be a 5th season and a 6th?

dr_sydney: I'll buy that. We're ready for season 7.

delilah_tina: for RICHARD MARCUS: You do such an excellent job making Raines the evil villain we all love to hate that I never thought of you as doing comedy. But as Mr. Wiggles in Cold Dick you stole the spotlight. Have you done comedy before and do you plan to do more in the future? - (from Ra-Chell)

brootsie_and_rainesy: RICHARD: Every day, except the Sabbath. I don't roll on the Sabbath. Actually, I've never done a sitcom.

delilah_tina: for PATRICK BAUCHAU: Will we see more of Sydney's character next season? More storyline about his life outside The Center? - (from et_tu_broots [Lea])

dr_sydney: More Sydney? I think there ought to be more story line about his life INSIDE the Centre

Amyl117: Patrick~ Why do you hold the phone so far away from you face when you talk?

dr_sydney: The phone...a professional bad habit...in case it should explode in an attempted assassination

delilah_tina: for JON GRIES: Do people assume you know a lot about computers now that you play a computer nerd on tv? - (from sjames_centre [Sue])

brootsie_and_rainesy: JON: I'm a computer genius, why wouldn't they?

delilah_tina: for RICHARD MARCUS: Do you ever surf the Internet? - (from Chickydoodles [Linda])

brootsie_and_rainesy: RICHARD: Yes, frequently, but since the market crashed...less.

delilah_tina: for PATRICK BAUCHAU:: How would you like seeing Jarod and Sydney go on that fishing trip together? Do you think the writers are ever going to pick that idea up again? - (from Stephanie in Switzerland)

dr_sydney: The fishing trip....I think that ought to be the next ep, or more precisely the opening of season 5 or 6. I would love to shoot in Switzerland in the Bernese Oberland or in the Valle'

delilah_tina: for JON GRIES: We've heard that one of your passions is playing in a band. What instruments do you play? Aren't you working on a CD? And if we are renewed, is there any chance that Broots might demonstrate some of those musical talents? - (from MyDandy1 [Marcia])

brootsie_and_rainesy: JON: I play guitar and harmonica. Yes, we're still working on the CD. No plans to play on TV.

delilah_tina: for RICHARD MARCUS: How do you feel about Dr. Raines - do you think he has any redeeming qualities? - (from Chickydoodles [Linda])

brootsie_and_rainesy: RICHARD: Yes of course. I feel that Raines is totally misunderstood. If someone would only show him some love, he would return in a like manner.

dr_sydney: Does Belgium miss me...My thoughts often wander down the River Meuse

delilah_tina: for PATRICK BAUCHAU: Would you like to see any more romantic interests for Syd? - (from Chickydoodles [Linda])

dr_sydney: Syd's romantic interests....or comedic interests, I would prefer more drama for Syd

delilah_tina: for JON GRIES: What was the most enjoyable part of directing tonight's episode? - (from MyDandy1 [Marcia])

brootsie_and_rainesy: JON: Working with the kids in the ep.

delilah_tina: for RICHARD MARCUS: One of the neat things about "The Pretender" has been the fact that the characters have grown in dimension through the years. You however, started evil and as far as we know are still a stinker <g> What would you like to see your character do next? (Please don't say eat a meal with Mr. Lyle.) - (from MyDandy1 [Marcia])

brootsie_and_rainesy: RICHARD: I'd like to see Angelo carry on an intelligent conversation with Raines one day. Also, I'd like to torture Broots more AND Give Syd his comeuppance for trying to kill me! And I won't say what I'd like to do with Miss P..... As far as Jarod is concerned.... I'll get back to you.

brootsie_and_rainesy: JON: If she does, I get to be 2nd in command.

delilah_tina: for RICHARD MARCUS: What do you see as the biggest challenge in playing the character Mr. Raines? - (from hi_dragonmoon [Sanne])

brootsie_and_rainesy: RICHARD: The prescription underwear I have to wear. Blame Brootsie for the underwear comment.

delilah_tina: for PATRICK BAUCHAU: We have heard that The Pretender is very popular in France. It is rumored that Le MONDE named The Pretender (Le Chameleon) one of the best TV series of the decade (I hope that is true). It should be a huge hit here too. Any speculation about what is done to promote it differently there? - (from MyDandy1 [Marcia])

dr_sydney: Promotion of tP...Today is Holy Saturday...let's see if Easter....

delilah_tina: for JON GRIES: You looked wonderful in "Cold Dick." Do you work out regularly? - (from Chickydoodles [Linda])

brootsie_and_rainesy: JON: I didn't work out for 6 months before, but I surf (the ocean, not the web).

brootsie_and_rainesy: Everyone here is asking if tP runs in Mexico...anyone know?

dr_sydney: I think it is showing in Mexico, but as far as I know it is still not showing in Spain.

delilah_tina: for RICHARD MARCUS: I must confess that I only became truly aware of your acting on "The Pretender." Have you played villains before? What would you describe as your favorite type of character to portray? - (from MyDandy1 [Marcia])

brootsie_and_rainesy: RICHARD: Yes, I've played villains. I love to play them as bad as they come. I also had one romantic leading role in Enemy Mine (shot in Germany).

delilah_tina: Richard, we'd like to know what other shows in the U.S. you've been in?

brootsie_and_rainesy: RICHARD: I was in St. Elsewhere and was nominated for an Emmy for Best Supporting Actor.

asha_ca: Raines is one of the most dispicable characters ever...my compliments Richard

brootsie_and_rainesy: RICHARD: Thanks, Asha.

delilah_tina: Were you really in that TV-Land Celeb-Sched Hill Street Blues episode, Richard? We couldn't find you.

brootsie_and_rainesy: RICHARD: I was NOT in that ep of Hill St. Blues that aired on the TV-Land special. I was in HSB, but not that ep. I played a blind, deaf villain in a different ep.

daisey122: jon, will you play any of your music on the pretender?

brootsie_and_rainesy: JON: No, I won't play my music on tP.

delilah_tina: for JON GRIES: Broots seems like a nice normal guy - how does he justify what he does for a living? - (from several people *g*)

brootsie_and_rainesy: JON: Once you're in, you can't get out. Bad mistake.

liberty_belle98: Patrick, whatever happened to Michelle and Nicholas?

dr_sydney: Michelle and Nicholas...they have been shifted to season 7 but I'm trying to corral them back.

Amyl117: What is Michael like in real life?

brootsie_and_rainesy: JON and RICHARD: What Michael is like? That's too complex a question.

delilah_tina: for RICHARD MARCUS: Whatever happened to Raines' breathing problems? I thought he was at death's door eons ago. - (from liberty_belle)

brootsie_and_rainesy: It could have been a charade all along.

daisey122: jon what is your favorite eposide of the pretender?

brootsie_and_rainesy: JON: Cold Dick is my favorite.

spookywheeze: what about Patrick and Richard? What are you guys' favorite eps?

brootsie_and_rainesy: RICHARD: Cold Dick is also a fave as it was the most fun.

dr_sydney: PAST SIM is my favorite

brootsie_and_rainesy: JON: Past Sim is a favorite as well.

brootsie_and_rainesy: JON: Juan Carlos Coto came up with Puff Daddy.

delilah_tina: for RICHARD MARCUS: How do you feel about the episode "Once In A Blue Moon," and will the reintroduction of your wife relate to that episode at all? - (from sjames_centre [Sue])

brootsie_and_rainesy: RICHARD: Watch tonight and see.

delilah_tina: for PATRICK BAUCHAU: We have seen that one of Sydney's hobbies is gardening, an interest you share...are there any other shared interests or traits that you have given to Sydney? - (from MyDandy1 [Marcia])

dr_sydney: As for sharing interests with Syd, education....planning... and improving world events....

dwchong: How do you want to improve the world, Patrick?

dr_sydney: To improve the world I would wish people to remember: When you lose don't lose the lesson. I would also like people to approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.
