Patrick Bauchau: Shade

Shade is a crime thriller set in the world of card sharks working the clubs and martini bars of Los Angeles. Three hustlers (Thandie Newton, Stuart Townsend and Gabriel Byrne) meet up with "The Dean" (Sylvester Stallone) and pull off a successful sting that leads to their pursuit by L.A.'s most respected, powerful crime boss. Melanie Griffith co-stars as a former flame who reconnects with Stallone's character, Patrick plays Max Malini, and Jamie Foxx plays a would-be hustler who ends up getting hustled himself. Other cast members include Michael Dorn, Mark Boone, Dina Merrill, Bo Hopkins, Roger Smith and V-Real.

Shade is a film by first time director Damian Nieman, who also wrote the screenplay. The movie is produced by RKO International and Merv Griffin Entertainment.
