Patrick Bauchau: Panic Room

Meg Altman and her husband Stephen are splitting up after Meg finds Stephen in the arms of another woman. Meg takes their daughter, Sarah, and moves into an expensive brownstone, complete with its own "panic room" -- a fortress-like area of the house built with poured concrete walls, surveillance monitors, a buried phone line and more. Shortly after the two move into the brownstone, a trio of thieves breaks in, looking for the fortune the former owner reputedly has hidden there. Meg and Sarah take refuge in the panic room, but what they don't realize is that the fortune the burglers are seeking is in the panic room itself.

Panic Room is directed by David Fincher (Fight Club; The Game; Se7en) and stars Jodie Foster as Meg Altman. Patrick Bauchau plays the role of estranged husband Stephen, with Kristen Stewart as Sarah. Also starring: Jarod Leto, Forest Whitaker and Dwight Yoakam as the three thieves, Ian Buchanan as Evan, Ann Magnuson as Lydia Lynch and Andrew Kevin Walker as "Sleepy Neighbor." Panic Room is now available on DVD.
