Patrick Bauchau: The Five Obstructions (De Fem Benspænd)

Danish filmmaker Lars von Trier (Breaking the Waves) and his mentor, Jørgen Leth (Jeg er levende), team up on The Five Obstructions, a new version of Leth's 1967 short film, The Perfect Human.

In The Five Obstructions, von Trier challenges Leth to film five different remakes of The Perfect Human - with a catch. In each case, Leth must overcome an obstruction placed by von Trier.

Patrick Bauchau stars in one of these new versions of The Perfect Human, which, like the original, is a sort of humorous, anthropological study of what we wish the perfect human being would be.

The Five Obstructions is now available on DVD.
